(Ryker Sear trace their influences mainly through the classic rock outfits of the 1970s/80s. Aerosmith, Def Leppard, T-Rex and most definitely Joan Jett and the Blackhearts form their inspiration. Hardly surprising since the band’s founder, vocalist/guitarist Regan Vincenza, is a girl who rocks hard and champions the cause of women in rock. Regan is distinguished by being a genuine Cockney ( though minus the accent) and by her birth date of 22nd November which is the feast day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music and musicians. Unashamedly a rock band, but with melody-focussed songs with catchy choruses and hooks, the Ryker Sear line-up is completed by James Torselli on bass, Owen Schofield on drums and lead guitarist Simon Gough)
